1. Who we are
Krystel Huerta Allstate Insurance Agency (“we,” “us,” “the agency”) is a licensed insurance agency in Texas and an exclusive agent of Allstate. This policy explains how we handle information collected through krystelhuertainsurance.com (the “Site”) and the calls, texts, and emails that follow from it.
When you buy or apply for an Allstate policy, Allstate’s own privacy notice also applies to the information Allstate receives. You can read it at the Allstate Privacy Center (allstate.com), including Allstate’s Online Privacy Statement.
2. What we collect
Information you give us on the quote form
- Contact details: first and last name, street address, city, state, ZIP, email, and phone number.
- About you: date of birth, gender, and marital status — insurers use these to rate policies.
- Coverage you’re interested in: auto, home, renters, motorcycle, boat, and/or life.
- Vehicles and driving: number of vehicles and drivers; each vehicle’s year, make, model, primary use, and annual mileage; whether you’ve had accidents or violations in the past 3 years; whether you’re currently insured and with whom.
- Property: property type, age, square footage, stories, current coverage, and claims in the past 3 years; for renters, the type of rental, an estimate of your belongings’ value, and whether there are dogs in the home.
- Motorcycle and boat: year, make or type, style or length, riding experience, and current coverage.
- Life insurance: coverage amount and policy type, tobacco use in the past 12 months, and how you describe your overall health. We treat tobacco and health answers as sensitive information and use them only to prepare the quote you asked for.
- Your language preference and the consent you gave on the form (the exact wording, version, date, and page).
Information from calls, texts, and emails
When you contact us or we contact you, we keep records of the communication, such as your number, the date and time, messages you send, notes about your request, and — where we tell you a call is recorded — the recording.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the Site and the tools listed below receive basic technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and date/time.
3. How we use it
- To prepare the quote or proposal you asked for and to contact you about it and related insurance products and services you may be interested in.
- To submit applications and service policies with the insurer when you ask us to.
- To verify that contact information is real and prevent spam and fraud.
- To keep records of your consent and your communication preferences, including opt-outs.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to understand which pages and ads lead people to contact us.
- To comply with law, regulation, and insurer requirements.
5. Calls and text messages
If you give consent on our form, we may call and text you about your quote and related insurance products and services, including with automated technology or an artificial or prerecorded voice. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
- Opt out: reply STOP, OPT OUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE (or in Spanish, ALTO, PARAR, CANCELAR, or BAJA) to any text. Reply HELP for help, or call (512) 691-6400. You can also opt out by telling us on a call or emailing khuerta@allstate.com — any reasonable method works.
- Frequency: message frequency varies with your request. Message and data rates may apply.
- Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except service providers acting on our behalf (for example, to deliver messages or route your request to our team).
6. Do Not Call
We maintain an internal Do Not Call list. If you ask us not to call or text you, we add your number, stop contacting you as soon as practical and no later than 10 business days after your request, and honor it for at least ten years (or longer if the law requires).
Before marketing calls or texts we check numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry and the Texas no-call list as the law requires, unless you have given us your prior express written consent or another legal exception applies. We call and text only during permitted hours in your local time.
7. Cookies, tools, and tracking
The Site uses the following services. Each receives only what it needs for the purpose shown.
| Service | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Hosts the Site | Standard server logs: IP address, browser/device type, pages requested, date/time |
| Zapier | Delivers quote-form submissions to the agency’s inbox and customer records | Everything you enter on the quote form |
| Abstract API | Checks that the email and phone number entered on the quote form are valid and deliverable (and whether a number is mobile) | Your email address and phone number |
| Google Maps Platform (Places) | Suggests addresses as you type on the quote form | The address text you type, and your IP address |
| Google Fonts | Loads the Site’s typefaces | IP address and browser information |
| Image hosts (Unsplash, GitHub) | Serve photos and vehicle-brand logos | IP address and browser information |
| Your browser’s storage | Remembers your language choice (English/Español) and carries your quote details to the thank-you page during your visit | Stored only on your device; the quote hand-off is cleared when you close the tab |
| Your browser’s storage (visit source) | Remembers how you first reached the Site (for example a Google search, an ad link or a social post) and the page you landed on, so a quote request can tell our team which ad or page brought you here | Stored only on your device for up to 30 days and sent with your quote request; no cookie, not shared with other sites |
| Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) | Measures which Facebook and Instagram ads lead to visits and quote requests, and helps show our ads to people likely to need them | Pages visited, browser and device identifiers, and a “Lead” signal when a quote request is completed. Your quote answers, name, phone number and email are not sent to Meta. Not loaded in browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal |
| Other advertising and call-tracking tools (only if enabled, e.g. Google Ads, CallRail) | Measure which ads and pages lead to calls and requests | Pages visited, device and ad identifiers, and — for call tracking — the calling number and call details. Not loaded in browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal |
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and we do not load advertising or call-tracking tags in that browser. Browsers’ “Do Not Track” setting has no common standard, so we respond to GPC instead; you can also opt out by contacting us.
8. How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information — including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, limited staff access, and service providers that maintain their own security programs. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.
9. How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and communication records as long as needed to respond to you, service any policy, keep the consent and opt-out records the law requires (opt-out requests for at least ten years), and meet insurance record-keeping obligations. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply — including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act where it applies, and insurance privacy laws such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Texas Insurance Code — you may have the right to:
- know and access the personal information we have about you, and get a portable copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information (subject to records we’re legally required to keep);
- opt out of targeted advertising, profiling, and any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information, including sensitive or biometric data); and
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
How to ask: email khuerta@allstate.com or call (512) 691-6400. We will verify your identity before acting and respond generally within 45 days; if we need more time, we’ll tell you why and may take one additional 45-day period, as the law allows. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority.
Appeals
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing khuerta@allstate.com with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond in writing within 60 days and explain our reasons. If we deny your appeal, you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov, or contact the Texas Department of Insurance at tdi.texas.gov.
11. Children
The Site is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Other websites
The Site links to other sites, such as Allstate.com, Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “Effective” date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a material change to how we use or share personal information, we will post it here before it takes effect and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
